A ride-hailing startup needed a rider app, a driver app, and an admin backend, all built to handle real-time operations from day one. We shipped the full platform. It completed over 10,000 rides in its first quarter.
10,000+ rides in its first quarter
The Challenge
Wakajugbe wanted to launch a ride-hailing service built specifically for the Nigerian market. That meant building three products at once: a rider app, a driver app, and an operations dashboard, all working together in real time. Riders needed to see drivers on a map, get accurate fare estimates, and pay in-app. Drivers needed onboarding, earnings tracking, and navigation. And the operations team needed visibility into everything. The timeline was tight and there was no room for a soft launch that did not work.
Our Solution
We built the entire ecosystem using Flutter for both mobile apps and Node.js for the backend. The rider app shows live driver locations on Google Maps, calculates fares based on distance, and processes payments through Paystack. The driver app handles onboarding with document verification, turn-by-turn navigation, and earnings breakdowns. The admin dashboard gives the operations team a live view of active rides, driver status, and revenue. All three products share the same backend and stay in sync in real time.
